What’s this? WWE made another video game? Does it look like the last one? Well.. yeah, probably. You know, slight tweaks and the shizz, but it’s bascially the same thing. However, instead of arenas from the ‘Attitude Era’, WWE 2K14 is based around WrestleMania, as 2014 will celebrate WrestleMania 30, with 29 WrestleMania arenas that apparently look ‘exactly’ like their real-life counterpart.

Does that mean when Triple H comes out in the WrestleMania 21 arena, Lemmy will forget the words to his theme music?

I mean.. at least he somewhat remembered the words four years earlier at WrestleMania X-Seven..

Cue The Intro..

The latest installment of the WWE game franchise, and the first to be made by 2K Sports, had the major part of it’s roster announced at SummerSlam Axxess: The following people were the latest to be announced to be playable on WWE 2K14, available October 29 in North America:

Already shown are pictures from Hogan/Andre from WrestleMania III, Hogan/Rock from WrestleMania X-8 and Rock/Cena from one of the last two WrestleManias.. I dunno which, I stopped watching when Shawn Michaels left for the last time.

Also rumoured thanks to the WWE 2K14 cover art contest include: AJ Lee, Antonio Cesaro, Brie Bella, Brodus Clay, Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, David Otunga, Heath Slater, Jack Swagger, Jinder Mahal, Justin Gabriel, Kane, Kofi Kingston, Layla, Mark Henry, Natalya, R-Truth, Santino Marella, Sheamus, Tensai, the Great Khali, Wade Barrett and Zack Ryder.

WWE 2K14 comes out October 29th in North America and Internationally November 1st yada yada yada.

But life isn’t all about video games and fantasy, because sometimes that bitch known as real-life just has to take over. This week, WWE Superstar Darren Young, announced to the world of all places, that he is a gay. A homosexual if you will. Now, everyone that is anyone, congratulated, and applauded this like he just landed on the moon, whilst singing the greatest song known to man, whilst marrying the Queen and becoming President of the United States all at the same time. My question to you is, the viewing public.. why is this news? Why are we meant to care so damn much about someone’s sexuality? I don’t mean that in a bad way, but it seems that being gay is some kind of achievement, when in fact, it shouldn’t be. In all honesty, and this blogger’s opinion, it should be just part of everyday life. Is it really that big of a celebration that one male has said he enjoys the company of other males in a sexual manner?

Who cares if Darren Young is openly gay? So what? Why would anyone look at him differently because of it? Why does he suddenly need to be applauded and congratulated and handed medals and paraded around the city just because he announced this, when if he hadn’t of said anything, everyone would still be oblivious to the fact. Society is a mess, no.. it’s completely destroyed. It shouldn’t matter if someone is gay, black, hispanic or asian (Although someone who was all four.. imagine), it SHOULD be how the person acts/behaves/etc., but sadly, in this society.. if you are different than causcian and straight.. you’re treated with either respect and applauded, or disgust and rejected.

Also, I wonder if Chris Kanyon would’ve gotten the same reaction if he announced he was gay during his WWE tenure. His sexuality preferences unfortunately played a part in Kanyon losing his life, and now we applaud because someone is gay? Double standards much..
