1.  RIP Eddie “Umaga” Fatu. 

2.  The final episode of Monk aired this week and was done well.  Monk was a great show and will be missed. 

3.  What a difference a week makes, we go from the awesomeness of Jesse Ventura hosting the best edition of RAW all year, to Verne Troyer hosting the worst editions of RAW ever.  Did anyone notice how little Verne was even on the show?  And no I’m not making a short joke, but he was barely on there at all.

4.  Speaking of Verne Troyer, he is 32 inches tall, my cat Luther (who says hi to everyone) is 29 inches tall when he stands on his hind legs.

5.  Mark Henry, don’t quit your day job, you can’t rap.

6.  Poetry on ECW???  And on the Abraham Washington Show nonetheless, that was probably the worst 15 minutes of my life.

7.  I’m not really feeling The Dudebusters yet, but I’m giving WWE kudos for trying to bring some new tag teams into the mix.

8.  What is with people playing Smackdown vs. RAW 2010 on All of the programs this week?  Yeah I know it’s a good game, but I don’t need the wrestlers promoting it for me.  Speaking of the game, I just finished the “Road to Wrestlemania” story for my create a wrestler and have to say that I was pretty disappointed.  Well at least for the PS 2 version of the game. (Spoiler alert) When you finally get to Wrestlemania, you wrestle Vince, which I didn’t mind, but when you beat him you make Vince do the chicken dance in a chicken suit.  Lame.  But it still hasn’t stopped me from playing it though.

9.  For some reason I think this whole Ezekial Jackson turning on Regal and Koslov thing is just a setup and Jackson isn’t turning, but I have been wrong in the past and will continue to be wrong in the future, so lets see how this plays out.

10.  I payed no attention this week to iMPACT! and had no desire to.

11.  Don’t tell anybody, but the masked man who attacked the Hurricane this week was Paul Burchill.

12.  Is it just me or does Luke Gallows look smaller than Festus?  I know they are the sape person, but since putting some clothes on, Gallows looks like he shrunk a couple inches.  But that could be because CM Punk is taller than Jesse.

13.  Wait so Eric Escobar is a face now???  Or is he just going back to developmental?  I don’t really know, this story was started and ended way too fast for me.  And for the record Vickie needs a new catchphrase,  EXCUSE ME is getting annoying. 

14.  So we get to see Rey Mysterio get eaten by Batista next week on Smackdown in a street fight!  Yay injury angles.

I’m a little more familiar with the way things work this week though.

Anyway on this week’s ECW out main event is Christian teaming with Yoshi Tatsu against Ezekial and Vladimir Kozlov. We also should have an in ring confrontation between The Hurricane and Paul Burchill.

We’re opening up with Christian heading out to the ring. Christian says that after last weeks attack and having to see it again he wants Regal in the ring. He calls him out. If Regal won’t come out he’ll find Regal. He’s interrupted by Tiffany with her non-PG rated music.

She says that the attacks happened because she denied him a title shot. Christian says Regal’s disrepected everyone. But he’s won . He wants Regal in the ring now.

Regal comes out and says he now has all the cards. If he’s going to take his ECW match he wants it in front of deserving fans. He wants it in front of his home crowd next week in England.

Tiffany says the match will happen under the condition that Kozlov and Jackson will be banned from ringside. Also his match is next.

He heads to the ring and is met with a Christian dropkick.

Hearing the announcers reminded me of a question I thought of last week after the show. Why call up Saxton and not just use Abraham Washington?

His opponent is Goldust. Regal pushed Dust to the ropes and shoves him. Dust reponds with a punch then takes him down hammering away. He heads out, then when he gets back in he sends Dust out. They brawl on the outside a little.

The bizarre one hits an atomic drop then ten punches in the corner. Regal kicks him in the gut and takes over. He delivers some crossface before putting on a type of headlock. Dust fights out and delivers couple clotheslines. He runs into a boot but comes back with a powerslam. Bulldog by Dust.

But Regal avoids a move then hits his running knee after Goldust gets shoved into the corner.

Zach Ryder is checking himself out when Rosa Mendes comes up. She says she’s announcing his match. We get a fantasy sequence from Ryder as she’s babbling.

Rosa won’t be doing to much announcing with how much talking she does before bringing the guys to the ring. Ryder is wrestling Shelton Benjamin. Shelton gets a takedown then goes into a headlock. Shoulder takedown and Ryder takes a walk. Shelton follows, Ryder runs, then gets a dropkick as they head back in.

Facewash on Benjamin. I just heard a let’s go Shelton chant, so the face turn has worked. Rear chinlock by Ryder. Shelton gets up, but Ryder sweeps the leg. Nice move. SHoves Shelton back to the corner but he postures to much and Benjamin takes over. Stinger Splash. Overhead belly to belly. Which gets a great reaction.

Ryder tries to slingshot Shelton back in, but the Gold Standard lands on his feet. Meanwhile Ryder’s staring at Rosa touching up her makeup. Paydirt hits and Shelton picks up the win.

Here’s Paul Burchill and Katie Lea. Love those pants on Katie Lea. Ripper’s complainging that Hurricane isn’t already there. Here comes the hero, carrying the Hurri-Cane. Burchill tells him Halloween is over. Hurricane says for some people Halloween lasts all year. Ask his sister.

Burchill wants to know why these people look up to Hurricane instead of him. Paul lists all his positive qualities while insulting the crowd. Hurricane suggests the reason fans like him and not Burchill is because he doesn’t call them “mindless soulless freaks.”

Burchill makes the challenge. One more mask. They win, Hurricane unmasks. They lose, they leave. Hurricane paraphrases the Green Lantern oath, accepting the challenge.

Tony Atlas is talking with Abraham Washington. After Regal wrecked the set they need a new one. Washington runs through all the things they want as they head for Tiffany’s office. THey meet someone coming out who just kind of stares at them. Tiffany tells them that’s ECW’s newest Superstar, Vance Archer. He’s… intense.

Archer comes out with a sneer on his face. He’s wrestling a jobber. First thing he does is shove him out of the ring off the lockup. He hits a kick as Logan Jones comes in. He’s jsut tossing him around. His finish is a reverse DDT out of a bodyslam.

Time for the main event. Kozlov and Jackson are in the ring. Sounds like Big Zeke now has an extended version of Domination. In fact without one line just as it cut out I wouldn’t have recognized it.

Yoshi Tatsu even has fans with signs in the crowd. Zeke and Tatsu start. Zeke no-sells a couple of kicks, but a dropkick to the knee followed by a second get him in. Kozlov tags in. Yoshi ducks a kick and hits one to the sternum. Runs into the headbutt and Kozlov shoves him to the corner.

Zeke tags in and works the ribs then bodyslams him. Then he steps on his head. Double underhook submission. Kozlov in. Shoulders in the corner and he chokes him. Armtrap headbutt and a belly to belly. Zeke with kind of a modified surfboard. Clubbing forearm to the head.

Zeke misses a corner charge. Christian and Kozlov in. Diving Euro uppercut and he sens Zeke off the apron. Canadian backbreaker by Kozlov. Tatsu and Christian flip Zeke over the top and Tatsu hits a plancha.

Tornado DDT by Christian and the Killswitch gets the win. Here coems Regal . Christian heads him off but he can’t fight all three men. Regal traps him in the Regal Stretch.

Good show. For those who don’t know Vance Archer is Lance Hoyt from TNA. And he’s apparently a guy who needs long hair and facial hair, because without them he looks kind of like a demented version of the main character from Scrubs. He’d be better served using a big boot or pumphandle slam as his finish. He definately needs some work unless he wants to be the next Braden Walker.

Good move introducing him though. ECW gains a heel at a time when they might lose a heel with Burchill coming up with that stipulation of his. Who here thinks they lose and a masked villain called Ripper appears?

Shelton and Ryder had a good match. And in a definate plus he got cheered against another guy who’d been borderline turning recently. I just hope they skip anymore fantasy sequences.

I’m also hoping Regal loses next week. I liked the way the storyline was going and I’d love to see him have to earn a title shot. Tatsu unfortunately didn’t get to do much this match. It would have been nice to see his finishing kick have as much effect on a big guy.

We open with a video for Yoshi Tatsu, promoting the title match.

And the show proper starts with Abraham Washington.  The one part of the show I can’t stand.  His guest tonight is Tiffany.

They’ve got a big show tonight so he’s going to do something he never does.  Stop running his mouth.  Tony starts laughing so much Washington threatens him with the unemployment line.  Tiffany’s theme is “Insatiable?”  Did someone forget to mention the PG thing.

When asked about ECW not having an impact at Bragging Rights she points out the number of stars on the show who had their first break on ECW.  She promises that next year it will have an even bigger impact.  The reason Sheamus left is because she doesn’t want people who don’t want to be here.  So he got to leave.  Provided he wrestles one last match, tonight against Shelton.  And her arm is healing well. 

Regal comes out and demands a title shot.  She refuses and says he may never get one.  After she leaves Regal has a tantrum tossing around the furniture.

We’re then introduced to Josh Matthews new partner, Byron Saxton.  They then show another video about Yoshi. 

Time for Sheamus’ last match on ECW.  There’s a replay of Benjamin pounding Sheamus last week.  And interview with Shelton talks about Sheamus saying he was mediocre.  He says Sheamus is a coward and he’s running to Raw without doing anything to impress anyone.  He’ll leave with a new respect for the Gold Standard.  One of Shelton’s best promos.

Sheamus with several shots to the head and slams Benjamin’s head into the corner.  Shelton fights out of the corner and then clotheslines the Celt out of the ring.  He steps to the apron and then delivers a springboard split leg moonsault to the floor.

When we get back Sheamus’ arm is wrapped around the ringpost and Shelton is working it.  Hammerlock and he rams him into the turnbuckle.  He wants to snap it on the top rope but Sheamus slams him to the ringpost.  Then on the floor he picks Shelton up and rams him backfirst into it.  Kneedrop tot he back by the Celtic Warrior.  Chinlock.   Shelton elbows out, but ends up in a tilt-a-whirl slam.  Hard whip to the corner and then he steps on Benjamin’s head.  Another knee to the back and another variation on a chinlock.  She stops an attempt to fight out short. 

Overhead belly to belly by the Gold Standard.  And they’re trading punches.    Shelton takes the advantage.  He’s whipped to the corner, leaps to the top and comes off with a clothesline.  A couple of clotheslines then he hits Stinger Splash.  Sheamus ducks a Dragonwhip but Shelton ducks a clothesline and hits a German Suplex. 

Sheamus hotshots him into the ropes the hits the pump kick for the win.

Rosa is babbling about clothes to Gregory Helms.  She then wonders what he wanted to ask her.  “I just said hello”  Paul Burchill and Katie Lea show up.  She tells Rosa to leave.  Birchall wants Helms to pass a message onto Hurricane to meet him in the ring next week.

Savannah interviews Christian.  He says Yoshi is the most deserving guy on ECW cause he went out and got some wins unlike some people, cough, William Regal.  Yoshi makes him excited for the future.  He will be a champ in the future.  Just not tonight.  Christian has been mentoring him and tonight he’ll learn the most important lesson any young talent can learn.  How to cope with defeat.

Christian comes out wearing a T-shirt rather than his ring jacket.  I really prefer the jacket.  Yoshi Tatsu has yet another new set of tights.  Gold would be appropriate on any other show but ECW with their supposedly platinum belt.  He’s carrying something, I thought it was a microphone at first.

Sexton even points out the tights on commentary.  

Tatsu with a waistlock.  Christian backs him into the corner.  Tatsu gets one kick.  He tries a second but Christian dodges and gets a waistlock.  Tatsu take him down.  Christian works a headlock against several attempts to escape.  Tatsu slips out and slaps on a headlock of his own. 

Flapjack by Christian after some rope running.  Springboard sunset flip.   Tatsu with backbody drop and a flipping senton.  Backslide.  Back to a headlock.  Tatsu sent outside but pulls himself in and rolls into a schoolboy for two.

Christian’s working a  headlock on  the mat.  Yoshi shoves him into the corner,  but runs into an elbow.  Christian goes up top but is thrown off.  Yoshi leaps over the top, but misses the champ and lands very awkwardly.  Christian hits his own move over the ropes.

Crossbody by Tatsu.  His leg looks fine.  Christian with a neckvice.  Tatsu elbows out.  Christian hits a backbreaker out of a reverse DDT.  Chinlock with a knee to the back.  Christian rams his head into the turnbuckle

Yoshi blocks a tornado DDT  then goes up top and hits a spinkick off the top rope.  Rapid fire kicks by Tatsu.  Christian sends him into the corner but misses a charge then Tatsu hits a roaring elbow. 

Kilswitch blocked by a kick to the back.  Tatsu sent into the ropes and Christian stands on his back, heads to the outside and decks him. 

Second rope dropkick by the champ, but a top rope misses and Tatsu jackknife covers him.  Double knees in the corner by Tatsu.  Reverse DDT by Christian.  Killswitch blocked by a kick to the back

Tatsu rolls through a springboard sunset flip and hits a kick.  Another Killswitch blocked after Christian ducks the finishing kick.  Pendulum kick after dodging a corner charge, followed by a diving Euro uppercut by the champ. 

He finally hits the Killswitch for the win, then checks on Yoshi.  Ezekial and Kozlov come down and flatten both men, hitting a double Uranage on the champ.  Regal hold the belt and stand over him.

Despite only two matches in an hour ECW felt jam packed tonight.  Both matches were excellent. 

I do feel sorry for Shelton.  It seems like he’s going to be in line for a push but with his and Sheamus’ feud cut short he didn’t get much chance to look good against the Celtic Warrior.  And at one point during the match, when they were getting ready to transition the advantage back over to Sheamus he was pretty much wrestling like a heel.  That’s something he’ll have to work on.

Meanwhile Christian did several nasty spots, such as choking a friend on the ropes without seeming like he was going to cross the line.  I’m almost surprised that Regal’s crew didn’t attack before the end of the match, sparing Yoshi the pinfall loss. 

I still feel they’re going to far with the pushing Regal to the head.  His best role outside of authority figure as a heel is coldly calculating.  Making him crazy doesn’t really work for me.  I do hope Tiffany decides to make him earn his title shot.

This is my first time posting a review on a site and I’m not familiar with how BoredWrestlingFan.com normally does things so I’ll be posting at the end and if that’s not okay someone can just inform me and I’ll do it later.  Also I’ve got an early work day tomorrow so later weeks may also be more detailed.

I’m a big fan of the current ECW.  Everyone on it is booked well and even the unstoppable monsters aren’t so tough the faces have no chance about them.  I’d say my only complaints with the current product are The Abraham Washington Show and the William Regal’s role as leader of the Ruthless Roundtable frequently has him adopting an expression that’s just a little to psycho for my tastes.

This week’s main storyline looks to be Zach Ryder’s continuing to turn face.  It’s a surprise move to me, but given the strength of Regal’s group there really could be only so many unaffiliated heels and Ryder just doesn’t fit.

Unfortunately I’m missing the beginning because my satelite doesn’t want to cooperate.  For some reason Syfy is always one of the first channels I lose when there’s problems with cloud cover and the like. 

For some reason SyFy is the only channel I can’t get.  And I can watch it in my living room, which is an HDTV.  Unfortunately my computer is in a different room.  So I’ll just give a less detailed recap at the end.

Another very entertaining episode of ECW.  Striker and Matthews are a fun announce team.  I always enjoy the nicknames for wrestlers and little tidbits Striker throws out.  Today he channeled a bit of Bobby Heenan picking both Team Raw and Team Smackdown to win the Bragging Rights match.

I missed most of the Ryder/Tatsu match.  Apparently my instincts on Ryder’s issues with Regal were off, but in the WWE heels don’t have long term issues with each other.  I just hope the WWE doesn;t shoot itself in the foot by doing something like turning Tatsu heel now that Christian has his wish and gets to defend against him.

So the Unified tag championship finally make an appearence on ECW.  About time.  Still I don’t see how ECW ever could have a member on Team Smackdown.  Tiffany came off pretty flat though

Shelton looked very good jumping in the ring to take on Sheamus and he got a very good reaction from the crowd.  I hope he introduces a new finisher now that he’s a face though.  Or at least one of his old ones.  Paydirt isn’t that impressive. 

The really gave away the fact  that the “Hurricane” coming down the ramp wasn’t the Hurricane with him keeping his head down.  I’d glad Helms is moving a bit away from the Grim and Gritty superhero look.  And just let me say Katie Lea in skin tight pants is one of the nicest sites in wrestling

Christian and Jericho had an extremely good match.  Color me shocked that Regal’s group didn’t attack.  They could have set things up to get him an eventual shot at the ECW title and Zeke and Kozlov  ready for a tag title match.

1.  I finally went out and saw “Inglorious Basterds” this past weekend.  I have to say that it was good but not great.  It had it’s moments, but the movie dragged at others.  Worth your money, yeah.

2.  I got “Guitar Hero 5” this week and it is good.  The game-play really hasn’t changed, it just has different songs, and that you no longer have to earn money.  While I enjoy the Guitar Hero series, this one has the least amount of songs that I like, but once I beat all of them I wont have to play the ones I don’t like anymore.

3.  The Beatles Rock Band will be released on Wednesday.  No Paul, you have enough money your not getting any of mine.

4.  I made a decision to boycott RAW like Legend Killer but not ECW, Superstars, or Smackdown.  You should watch all of them they’re the good programs.  RAW will just be background noise form now on until it gets better.  I will help out the review when needed though.

5.  Come on down!  Bob Barker is this weeks RAW host.  I thought RAW was trying to appeal more to kids and not seniors.

6.  I didn’t believe that the Abraham Washington show could get any worse and this week it did.  The addition of Tony Atlas was completely horrible and his laughing and one liners were annoying.   WWE get rid of this crap now.

7.  With wins in recent weeks by Paul Birchill, Goldust and Evan Bourne, WWE Superstars has now become the place where jobbers go to win matches.

8.  Proof that Tyler Recks sucks, if you are wrestling the #1 heel on your program and the crowd doesn’t care, then you suck, go back to wherever it is you came from. 

9.  I didn’t watch iMPACT this week, I was at a concert instead. 

10.  CM Punk is Straight Edge, that means he is better than all of us!  Well not Drowgoddess.

11.  John Morrison is the new Intercontinental Champion.  This is a good thing, but I have a feeling he will only be holding it until Rey returns.  He won’t lose it at “Breaking Point” because while Dolph Ziggler is good, he’s not ready yet for an IC title run.

12.  Who is Drew McIntyre?  I know I’ve  heard the name before, but I can’t remember where. 

13.  The Undertaker has returned!!!!!!!  YAY!
