    Punk looks so sad.

The gang’s all here to talk about the week in wrestling.  We talk about Payback before we dive into RAW – and how difficult it is to watch live.  We debate the options available as far as The Shield and Evolution’s futures following Batista’s departure and Seth Rollins’ betrayal.  In the news, we find out where negotiations are as far as TNA and Spike TV go.  We talk about the attendance, or lack thereof, at a recent TNA BaseBrawl event.  Batista comments on the #Bluetista hashtag.  Superstar Billy Graham tells us why he’s never watching wrestling again.  We get updates on the status of both Sting and The Undertaker.  Wrestling With Wregret‘s Brian Zane joins us to talk about his music and production work, his experience in the wrestling business, and his thoughts on the current mainstream product.  All this and more on BWFRadio 129!

  2. WWE RAW 6/2/14: Payback for Payback?

Twenty-five years I’ve been watching WWE television, week in, week out, without question.  I never miss RAW, which since 1993 has been the only television show I watch on Monday nights.  Well, aside from watching Nitro on picture-in-picture of course.  But something happened last night that made me question why I’m such a loyal viewer of this program.  I watched an entire 3-hour RAW live on TV.  This was the first time since they made the permanent switch that I’ve watched the show live as it aired without actually being in the arena, and I’ve gotta tell you, I can’t understand how people do this every week.  I found myself checking the time once every 15 minutes or so once I hit the 90 minute mark.  “It’s gotta be close to 11 by now.”  Nope, 10:15.  The fact is, there wasn’t anything really going on to advance storylines or anything either.  So we’re talking 3 hours of filler.  In fact, only the overrun was worth watching.  So today, I’m not going to watch the show over again and review it – I’m going to recap it using Ian’s Intense Post-Payback Raw Recap from AngryMarks.com as a reminder of what, exactly, I watched in those 3 agonizing hours last night.

Well, this should be interesting.  Let’s go.

  3. WWE RAW 4/14/14 – RAW is WAR(RIOR)

No wisecracks or jokes to start this week’s RAW review.  WWE has dedicated tonight to honoring the memory of Warrior, and out of respect for Warrior, I will save such nonsense for the performers on the show.  For what it’s worth, the autopsy results are in, Warrior died of heart disease.  While the investigation is still ongoing, it should be noted that the initial reports say natural causes, so no matter what some TV talking head would have you believe, Warrior’s death did not involve drugs or alcohol.

You know, last year on the night after RAW, I was in the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ helping to start Fandangoing, and shitting all over Randy Orton vs. Sheamus by chanting for everybody not involved in the match, including the ice cream guy, the cotton candy guy, and the pretzel guy.  This year, I’m sitting at work wishing I was in New Orleans, LA for tonight’s RAW.  And after a shocking WrestleMania, I can’t wait to see this crowd. Let’s go!

I watch 2 hours at home, drive to work, skip through the first two hours again, then watch the last hour.  All for you.  Yes, you, the specific individual reading this right now.  Because you are awesome.  Don’t ever let anybody tell you otherwise!
