Holy technical difficulties, Batman!  We were unable to broadcast this show live because the only thing working on the studio computer was Skype.  Our scheduled guest, Gregory Iron, was unable to make this week’s show and had to reschedule.  But we pressed on and managed to record an episode anyway!  Joe, JT, G, and Mark talk briefly about the week in pro wrestling, including our disgust for yet another Cena/Orton main event on a Pay-Per-View coming up at Hell In A Cell.

In the news, frequent BWF Radio guest Gary Barnidge appears on Total Divas, Team 3D has options of where to go now that they are officially gone from TNA, and TNA doesn’t have any events scheduled through the end of the year.  Justin Roberts gets his release.  WWE Network gets ads.  Randy Orton gets Vined, and Mexican Fans can tell the difference between Sin Cara and Mistico.  All this and more on BWF Radio 148!

If anybody hasn’t seen the tweets from the BoredWrestlingFan Twitter, I’m trying to replace myself as the resident RAW reviewer here on the site.  It’s a volunteer job.  I wish I could pay people to do this.  The job may only be temporary.  I’m still hoping RYTMAN comes back at some point.  Oh well.  Let’s go, shall we?

I suffer through RAW so you don’t have to.  Read on.

Why would anybody want one of those old TVs?

Jorge returns, JT leaves early, and the whole crew talk about Gary Barnidge and DeAngelo Williams’ WrestleMania 30 scavenger hunt.  They skew off onto a number of topics including the new video game South Park: The Stick of Truth.  The problems with the WWE Network are mentioned, we skim over the week in wrestling, give a nod to the LockDown card, and spoil NXT for G.  In the news, you won’t believe what Buff Bagwell is doing for money these days.  That and a lot more news.  Tune in!

  5. WWE RAW 2/24/14 – At least the USA Network works!

Varying degrees of success have been reported by friends of mine attempting to access the WWE Network.  BWF Radio PPV panelist Gary Barnidge of the Cleveland Browns reports that he couldn’t sign up at all.  Our own JT had difficulty registering as well and can’t seem to access any of the content.  The same holds true for our buddy Cassidy from Cheap-Heat as well as my cousin Steve.  My good friend Scott chimed in to report that he was having no issues whatsoever accessing the WWE Network via his PS4, though the same can’t be said for me with my Xbox 360.  Hell, as I type this, I’m having difficulty trying to access a video on the service via my tablet.  So, a rough launch for the WWE Network.  I did, however, catch the RAW pre-show with Alex Riley, Booker T, and Ric Flair, so at least the live streaming works.  But we’re not here to talk about the issues with the WWE Network, we’re here to talk about Monday Night RAW!

I did this a little differently tonight.  I actually decided to drive to work, so I managed to catch the first couple hours of the show.  But there are things I want to go over, so I’m going to watch some of it again as I review.  So, let’s go!

I don’t wanna do this, I wanna watch the WWE Network.  I know it works with Internet Explorer on PCs!  Oh well.

    Always is.

    Always is.

This week, Jorge and Mark return from their honeymoon time off, and Cleveland Browns TE Gary Barnidge returns to the show to give his picks for tonight’s Elimination Chamber Pay Per View.  We go over some talking points about the recent WWE Investors conference call, including a note on CM Punk’s whereabouts.  We discuss the WWE Network’s impending launch and go in depth about Dish Network’s decision not to carry tonight’s WWE event and the effects it will have on the WWE going forward.  TNA and ROH news pops up, including news on an upcoming “invasion” of ROH by New Japan Pro Wrestling.  All this, and much, much more on BWF Radio Episode 114!

It’s the last stop on the road to the last ever Pay Per View us folks in the US will ever have to spend $54.95 on.  The WWE Network premieres next Monday, but let’s see what the WWE have in store for us before we get there, shall we?  Let’s roll!

I watch 30 minutes.  I leave.  Then I have to sit through this show a week later.  Maybe next week I won’t have to watch it by nefarious means once I get to work.  Time will tell.

    What a visual!

Cleveland Browns TE Gary Barnidge returns to the show to talk Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and the WWE Network.  Jorge takes a week off.  Joe, JT, G, and Mark discuss the week in wrestling, possible ideas for surprise entrants to the Royal Rumble match, and advocate supporting your local indie promotion.  We pay our respects to the late, great Mae Young.  In the news, we talk Ultimate Warrior in the Hall of Fame, Ryback’s rants, and Ric Flair’s court troubles.  We discuss the differences between Kraft dinners in Canada as opposed to the US.  Mexico’s AAA promotion comes to the United States (I’m sure Zeb Colter is thrilled).  We learn potentially why Roddy Piper isn’t in WWE 2K14.  The crew play armchair booker for The Undertaker’s possible opponents at WrestleMania.  All this, and much, much more!  Tune in!

    Hilarious.

Jorge misses another episode, and is portrayed by JT in the various “BoredWrestlingFan Theatre” segments throughout the show.  We have connection problems throughout the show.  We discuss  Night of Champions, RAW, ROH (and Death Before Dishonor), IMPACT, and SmackDown.  Sunny works the dirtsheets, Duke “The Dumpster” Drose gets arrested, and Kevin Nash rips Impact.  What does the future hold for BJ Whitmer?  Why is Triple H comparing WWE to Disney?  Why is Jeff Jarrett taking a more active role backstage with TNA?  Why do I keep asking you?  Find out the answers to most of these by clicking the link below and listening to the show for yourself!  Tune in!

This week’s break song was Middle Means by Cyril Rufus.  Which I can’t seem to find a link to purchase.  So…  Sorry.

A special happy birthday to our friend, Cleveland Browns TE Gary Barnidge, who I’m fairly certain was the guy behind the announcers with his team on RAW this past Monday.  Congrats on beating the Vikings, my friend!

It’s a seven man Money In The Bank prediction show!  Joe, Jorge, JT, and G are joined by Brian Muller of Lost Elysium, Gary Barnidge of the Cleveland Browns, and author Mark Noyce to give their predictions for tonight’s PPV.  Jorge’s possibilities for love open up as Stacy Kiebler and George Clooney have split up, as have Randy Orton and his wife, plus Sunny is offering a unique photo op.  Jorge and Brian clash as their respective bands are both up for best new band in the All WNY Music Awards.  We also get Mark to reluctantly plug his book.  All this, and much, much more!
