We’re ready for the last professional wrestling television broadcast of 2008 - ECW on SciFi for December 30th! The only thing I know that’s going on tonight is a match between ECW Champion Matt Hardy, and the former champion Mark Henry. Will Matt Hardy make it to his tag team match this Friday on SmackDown? We’ll find out, tonight!

As stated yesterday, I’ve been super busy lately, to the point that I haven’t even gotten to watch SmackDown from this past Friday, which included Jeff Hardy’s title celebration. However, since you guys are good to me, here (after the jump, of course) are the results, courtesy of Rajah.com!
Alright, confession time. I completely forgot to set my DVR for ECW tonight. Not that it really matters, I’m not going to be home tonight to review it on DVR anyway. So, I did a little improvising, and have ECW streaming live on my laptop and I’m doing this review on the work computers in real-time - but not posting it in real-time. I tuned in a few minutes late, but I think I saw enough to accurately give you an idea of what’s going on.

Sorry for the lack of updates on my part, folks, I’ve just been super burnt out the last few days for some reason. It’s probably got to do with my current employment situation (which is that my work may potentially be closing - don’t worry about me though, I have a plan), or maybe it’s got to do with the impending launch of a new site through my company, Fropac Entertainment - but more onthat when I get to it. All of that is irrelevant, though, as we’ve got a NEW WWE CHAMPION in Jeff Hardy!

I’ve been sitting on my ass the last four hours and haven’t even thought about Armageddon until just now. There’s less than 8 minutes until the show, so I’m going to run through the card real quick and give you my predictions!
Jericho vs. Cena - World Title - Cena
Edge vs. Jeff Hardy vs. HHH - Edge.
CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio - Punk. I was going to say Mysterio, but after Punk dropped the tag titles last night, it seems more logical that he’d be in line for the Intercontinental Championship.
Matt Hardy vs. Vladimir Kozlov - Kozlov
Batista vs. Randy Orton - Orton
Michelle McCool, Maria, Mickie James & Kelly Kelly vs. Victoria, Natalya, Jillian & Maryse - I didn’t even know about this one, but I’m going to say Victoria’s team.
Finlay vs. Mark Henry - Whoever wins, hopefully this will be the end of it. Which would indicate that Finlay will probably win.

Alright, long time readers know that we don’t usually do show previews here on the site. In fact, I’m not even sure if “preview” is the right word for this particular article. Last week in the RAW on DVR review, I looked at the six nominees for WWE Superstar of the year. This morning I’d like to take a deeper lookat the Slammys, since the nominees have all been revealed.
Well, we know that MVP is in action against Matt Hardy tonight. Saves me watching a match, because we all know that MVP is not going to come to ECW and beat the champion on his current streak. Hopefully I’ll get to see that DX ShopZone ad that I missed last night. I’m sure it was hilarious. Other than that, I’m not sure what to expect (ok, I’m lying, I read the spoilers last night after RAW), so let’s get started with ECW on SciFi on DVR!

Yawn. This show sucked. MC somethingorother came out with Alicia Fox and beat some jobber. This new guy is an Alex Wright knockoff.
Jack Swagger beat Tommy Dreamer in an amateur challenge via DQ. Tommy said “oops, you win,” and on next week’s show it’s going to be Dreamer and Swagger again, this time in an Extreme Rules match.
And the trio of Mark Henry, William Regal, and Cody Rhodes defeated Kofi Kingston, Matt Hardy, and Finlay. Exciting television there, folks.
