  1. WWE RAW 3/24/14 – GET TO THE CHOPPAH!

Arnold Schwarzenegger is in New York today to be on one of my favorite TV shows!  That’s right, he’s a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new movie, Sabotage.  And he’s also on some other show filming live from New York tonight – Brooklyn to be more precise.  He’s one of the guest hosts of Monday Night RAW!  But we’ll get there in a little bit.  Some other stuff happens first.  What kind of stuff?  I guess you’ll have to read on!

I watched 2 hours of this show and still have no idea what happened, so I’ll start over and post my findings here.  Go ahead, click the “Read More” link.  You know you want to.

Ain’t nobody got time for that!

This week, Joe, JT, and G are joined by Joe’s cousin Steve, as Jorge takes the day off to joyride in his friend’s Dad’s Ferrari and enjoy the sights of Chicago, with hilarious results.  Or he’s actually sick.  One of the two.  Anyways, Joe reads from the book of Bored, reciting passages from RYTMAN’s RAW review and G’s SmackDown shenanigans.  JT and G bust dope rhymes, and Steve shakes his head at all of this.  We learn that Scott Hall has reached his goal of $80,000 for his hip replacement surgery, which will take place April 9th.  We find out who the participants returning for TNA’s “10” and “Knockouts Knockdown” Pay Per View events are.  That Damn Double C tries to trick Joe into reading lyrics from “Africa” by Toto again.  We discuss the new rules of the X-Division.  We lament the price increase for WrestleMania to $69.99 for HD.  Chris Masters uproots a tree with his bare hands and saves his mother’s life.  All this, and much more, on BWF Radio 67!

    Bone Chilling….

This week on BWF Radio, the Randy Orton robot problem strikes home as G becomes “one of them.”  Meanwhile, Rytman loses his mind in the Mixlr comments, revealing an obsession with lemurs.  Meanwhile, ThinkSoJoE, JT, and Jorge talk wrestling.  Joe reveals what you didn’t see at Old School RAW on Monday, JT tells us what we didn’t see (because we didn’t watch) on ROH this weekend, we give you the WWE Main Event results, and a SmackDown review so hilarious Joe almost cried from laughing so hard.  We pay our respects to William “Paul Bearer” Moody, and read a story from a woman whose life was changed by his generosity.  We also reveal the whereabouts of Zack Ryder, debate whether the @VinceMcMahon twitter account is real, and ponder what his WWE Legends contract will mean for Sean Waltman.  What does the future hold for Rey Mysterio?  Why does Billy Graham really want out of the WWE Hall of Fame?  How much has DDP raised thusfar for Scott Hall’s medical bills?  We answer all of this here on BWF Radio!

    DAMMIT MIZ!

Joe, Jorge, G, JT, and Brian are joined by Carolina Panthers TE Gary Barnidge for the first part of the show.  We ask the hard hitting questions, like “Vince McMahon or Vince Lombardi.”  We talk about the American Football Without Borders charity, and Gary joins us for Elimination Chamber picks.  We get into the news, including Miz accidentally dropping Punk on his head, TNA Lockdown not consisting entirely of cage matches, and Rey Mysterio’s surgeon potentially losing his license.  We chime in on the IOC dropping wrestling from the 2020 Olympic games.  We update the whereabouts of Steve Blackman.  We talk about Scott Hall.  We find out who is making the WWE ’14 video game.  Is John Cena sleeping with a porn star?  All this and more on BWF Radio!

  6. Smackdown 02/08/13: This Card Looks “Turrible”

I’ve read the matches (non-spoiler version) ahead of time, and kill… me… now. This does not look good, people. There’s one or two on the card that look passable. But I must warn you, there will be much FFW content on this debacle. Unless you like immobile big guys that can’t really do anything in the ring. If that’s the case, enjoy! Not me, though. Ugghhh… It is hopping time… more like skipping time. Oh well, maybe they’ll make up for it with a whimsical Hornswoggle and Natalya cover of “Dueling Banjos” using flatulance instead of the five string percussive chording hybrid of an instrument? Fuck.

    Hopping time, folks….

  7. Patman Picks Stampede Classics. Stu Hart 80th B-day party. Scott Hall VS Owen Hart.

What is going on Wrestling fans? This time around Im going with a match that is both unique and special in the history of pro wrestling for 2 reasons.  For starters its a WWF title match taking place in Calgary, but its in an official Stampede Wrestling ring featuring one of Stampedes most popular wrestlers of all time. Thats pretty unique. Also, its the celebration of Stu Harts 80 Birthday, and as a consequence, wrestlers from around the world came to the event to both preform and also wish the legend a Happy 80th. This time around we will be enjoying Razor( Scott Hall) VS Owen Hart, for the intercontinental WWF championship. And this joint Stampede/WWF match is called of course by the legendary Ed Whalen, the voice of Stampede Wrestling for many decades. Worth noting at the beginning of the video Owen has a quick segment talking about his father, which is a very nice touch. Owen was playing the role of a heel at the time in the WWF. However, when in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, its pretty hard to have the crowd hate any former Stampede Wrestler as Vince McMahon would soon learn and capatialze on in the future with his Hart Foundation story-line. Also worth noting while watching the video is the top ring rope coming off and being quickly turned into a weapon. You will then notice a quick exit from the ring to draw the attention away from the rope being put back on. Finally worth noting is the “run in” by one of my least favorite wrestlers of all time. Here is a hint as to who he is ” I made a porn Movie with a Man/Woman and lived to tell about it”.  Also, if  these videos are getting your old school classic wrestling interests up, feel free to download our Stampede podcast .G and myself discuss all things Stampede wrestling including our run ins with the likes of Davey Boy Smith, Bad News Brown, Chris Benoit and Bret Hart when we were just kids!    http://wonderpodonline.com/?p=2533     See you all next time !

  8. Smackdown 10/21/11

The WWE has been plowing through their storylines since the summer… and not much will change tonight. As opposed to marketing one of the biggest gimmick matches in the traditions of Mexico’s wrestling scene, the WWE forgot to mention on RAW that they are having a mask vs mask match on Smackdown. At least they had the common sense to announce it on their website for us so-called 10%’s, the same people who knew about it before they even posted it… Let’s get to it, shall we?

Oh yeah, in case you forgot (you probably did), there’s actually a PPV on Sunday. So this is the go-home show. They couldn’t wait 3 days for the mask vs mask match… with no build… gawd…

  9. The War On.. If I Can Be Serious For A Minute

    Cue the opening

I thought I’d get in before anyone else, and be serious.. if just for a moment. For those who missed, an ESPN program, entitled E:60, documented the life of Scott Hall, and his struggles with alcohol and drugs in his life. I’m sure if you’re a real wrestling fan (even old school guys like me), know about the troubles Scott Hall has had throughout. The following video linked below, is the E:60 presentation. E:60, is a ESPN documentary program, leaving no stone unturned. It’s almost like ESPN’s version of the History Channel so to speak, and their expose on Hall is just one of many stories that have been investigated well, and one of many that is of a more serious nature.

    The video is here.
